Prabha, Jyoti, Gayatri Praveena and Mrs. Jyoti, residents of Padra, a village near Rewa city could not complete their studies due to unavoidable circumstances. But, they had not given up the hope to do well in their lives. Their courage has set an example for other such girls who want to opt for self-employment utilizing available resources and support themselves and their dependents financially, respectfully.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rewa identified the need of the village and organized an on campus training of rural youths on stitching to generate self employment in which school dropouts participated with strong determination for 15 days.
Within eight months duration, these trainees have earned more than Rs. 50,000/- and have also saved more than Rs. 2000/- by stitching clothes for themselves and their family members.
Prabha speaks out with proud that before participating in this training she had to ask her parents for even a little amount but now, not only she is self dependent but also supports her family with little surprises. Praveena expresses her gratitude towards Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rewa (MP) for the training. Gyatri is now running a stitching school.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra is working steadily towards the empowering women and developing their self confidence in the so called male-dominated world.

  1. Good success story. It is very good to see such type of successful people.

In operational areas of KVK Shikohpur Gurgaon, there is one lady Mrs. Sarvesh Yadav, who also set an example for other women in the area. She got training from the KVK, started stitching. Now she runs a shop of make-up items in her village, training others and now KVK takes her services in its training programme.

These are the people, who gives real recognition of your work. Encourage them and give more successful examples through your wonderful blog. Keep it up!
