Timely Field Preparation and Saving the Money through Cycle Kulpa

Mr. Narendra Patel, an innovative contact farmer from Ajgarha Village, Rewa (MP), who got Cycle Wheel Hoe (Cycle Kulpa) from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rewa (MP) for trial in order to spread the technology horizontally. Narendra had already used Kulpa successfully in weeding Paddy sown through SRI method in 1/5th of an acre.

He tells that he harvested his crop before his fellow farmers did. His field was surrounded by such fields which were yet to be harvested and hence it was not possible for him to use tractor to prepare the field to sow wheat using the available moisture in the field, which would cost him Rs. 150/-.

He therefore decided to use Kulpa once again and not to spend Rs. 350/- on ploughing his field by bullock drawn plough to prepare his field.

By using Kulpa he not only could prepare the field timely butalso saved his money.
